Courses and Workshops

Day Courses are designed to focus on a specific painting medium and subject eg. - Coastal Scenes in Watercolour (see list below). They are a rewarding way of teaching and learning as they provide a complete painting exercise with stage-by-stage demonstrations to cover basic planning through to the finished picture.

Day Workshops are not structured around a single subject, they are designed to give specific help to students with their personal "work in progress". They are particularly suitable for oils and acrylics. Pictures created in these mediums tend to be larger, longer term projects. Demonstrations on specific problems and techniques can be incorporated during the Session.

Workshops can be for Watercolours, Oils, Oils and Acrylics, Drawing, Still Life (choice of Medium), Mixed Media or a special course for your group. Contact Diana

Short Courses of 3 to 5 weeks may appeal to your Art Group or Society. They provide an ideal opportunity to focus on a particular subject.

Course titles: Basic Drawing (5 weeks); Drawing for Improvers (5 weeks); Flowers in Watercolour (3 to 5 weeks); Architecture in pen and watercolour (5 weeks) or a course specifically designed for your group. Contact Diana

Lectures

Diana gives Art History and Appreciation lectures to local societies, Probus groups etc., and is available for groups within a 15-20 mile radius of Penarth.
