  Diana Mead is an artist combining two great passions -    painting and gardening            

Diana trained at Cardiff College of Art, gaining a National Diploma in Design (NDD). She specialises in fine art watercolours and oils.

 

She was later awarded a Bachelor of Arts Degree and lectured for the Extra-Mural Department at University of Wales, Cardiff, in Art History and Appreciation.

 

Diana works as a freelance artist and specialises in landscape, architecture and flowers, accepting commissions for these and other subjects.  (See Commissions)  She has provided architectual illustrations for books and other publications. (See Architecture)


Diana teaches art for Adult Education and private groups. She  lectures in art and art-related subjects for groups and societies

Diana in her garden


A major area of Diana's work is flower painting. She is a keen and knowledgeable gardener. opening her garden under the National Garden Society's Yellow Book Scheme.(See Garden) The garden is a constant inspiration for her paintings, cards and prints.
